PM Imran Khan, time to have mercy on masses instead of bureaucrats
Masses need rewards and benefits than bureaucrats, experts opine.
(Web Desk) – Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan is making the rounds in Islamabad and Lahore addressing top to middle level bureaucracy of various government departments. He seems quite ambitious in his visits, making the bureaucrats ensure that their rights will be protected at any cost. Fair enough, but according to PTI’s stance, this is the same bureaucracy that was corrupt and a cat’s paw in the hands of Imran Khan’s opponents.

Performance evaluation system in every government institution should be effectual to the extent that it automatically reward every dedicated officer and discourage those who are mere liability on public exchequer. Furthermore, these are the masses who are more crumbled and have become financially meager under successive governments.

Reputed analyst Ayaz Mir talking in the program “Think Tank” said Imran Khan should consider the genuine issues of the masses. He has been failed in chalking out any specific plan to deal with the grave issues, including talks with Kashmir, the country is facing. Political analyst Haroon Rashid said although bureaucracy should be given free and fair environment where political interference is absent, but monitoring of their performance is also a vital part.
Famous analyst Salman Ghani said there is no need to have mercy on bureaucracy; it is better to have mercy on the nation. He further added Imran Khan was aware that his government is going to come, for which he must have had extraordinary team beforehand.
News analyst Khawar Ghumman said till this time nothing wrong has been committed by Imran Khan so it is better not to censure him. The government is taking positive steps. Moreover, if the upper level management will remain away from bribery, the change will come for sure.
Imran Khan has desired bureaucracy to perform its duties with utmost good faith so that the agenda for change could be implemented in true letter and spirit. He time and again repeated his stance to increase financial as well as non-financial perks of bureaucrats which have raised concerns among masses too. Upper level officers, who are living luxurious lives under every government, need to leave luxuries and enhance their output.
