CM Parvez Elahi asks depts to curtail expenses
LAHORE ( Dunya News ) – Punjab Chief Minister Parvez Elahi on Tuesday took important decisions regarding the adoption of austerity by giving strict directions to the government departments to cut expenses.
CM Elahi directed the government institutions not to buy new cars for protocol and also reduce the non-development expenditure by 50 per cent.
He demanded the complete record of government land and directed the relevant authorities to send the details to the CM office within seven days. He also gave order for increasing the provincial resources. “Institutions should introduce new measures for increasing revenues,” he said.
Punjab Finance Minister Mohsin Leghari, former federal minister Moonis Elahi, MNA Hussain Elahi, Chief Secretary Abdullah Sumbal and Principal Secretary to CM Muhammad Khan Bhatti participated in the meeting.
