Punjab CM approves 700 kanals for Sahafi Colony Phase II
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Chief Minister Parvez Elahi on Saturday approved the grant of 700 kanal for the construction of the Phase II of the journalists housing society.
A piece of land would be granted by the Ravi Urban Development Authority (Ruda). The members of the Lahore Press Club (LPC) would be granted five-marla plots. Apart from that, the journalists with special needs and those having health issues who are not LPC members, and the families of the deceased journalists would also be granted plots. Earlier, the government had announced a grant of 500 kanal to the colony in the Aashiana Housing Scheme but unavailability of land in the scheme led to the decision to allot land under Ruda.
