Two teenagers drown amidst Lahore's deadly downpour

 LAHORE (Dunya News) - Two teenage boys lost their life after being drowned amid heavy rain in the provincial capital that inundated flora and fauna in the district.

After record rains submerged several low-lying localities of Lahore, incidents claiming lives of people have started surfacing. As per the latest reports, two boys aged 11 and 14 drowned in the rain water at Sherkot Babu Sabu and Nawan Kot areas.

The family made frantic efforts to rescue the boys but the fate was decided otherwise.

Torrential showers lashed the city for 6 hours and 45 minutes with rainwater entering Jinnah Hospital and General Hospital as well. The outer boundary of Noor Jahan’s tomb was also damaged. The citizens waded through the streets and roads flooded with rainwater across the provincial capital.

Interim CM Punjab , Mohsin Naqvi while talking to twitter said that city is going through unprecedented rainfalls as Lahore received 203mm of rainfall in only five hours.
