World Performing Arts Festival to begin from November 24 in Lahore

LAHORE (Dunya News) – With the collaboration of Lahore Arts Council, Rafi Peer Theatre Workshop is organizing World Performing Arts Festival in Alhamra Cultural Complex.

The festival will be attended by artists of 40 countries including China, Japan, Australia, Bangladesh, Norway, Britain and Canada.

The festival will continue till December 4.

It is pertinent to mention here that seven years back cracker attacks were made during a festival in Alhamra Cultural Complex and threats were given to the authorities.

In wake of the incident, the festival was conducted but no foreign artist was invited.

After the success of Operation Zarb-e-Azb, situation in the country has improved therefore; Rafi Peer Theatre Workshop administration has now invited foreign artists to reinstate the festival on international level.

To finalise the festival, Chairman Rafi Peer Theatre Workshop Usman Peerzada will meet the Chairman Lahore Arts Council Kamran Lashari and will afterwards inform media of the details.
