(WebDesk) – A Red carpet roll for Governor Sindh Imran Ismail and Minister Faisal Vawda in drought-hit Thar shocked the social media users when their extravagant protocol went viral on internet last night. Twitteratis termed it rubbing salt over the wounds of hunger and thirst stricken Tharis.

Sindh Governor Imran Ismail reached Tharparkar on Wednesday for his first visit to the Thar coal-fired power projects since taking office in "Viceroy" style amid protocol of many vehicles including 18 Police Mobiles. Road, Markets & Hospitals were reportedly remained close for Public during his delegation visit to Tharparkar. Federal ministers and members of the Sindh Assembly accompanied him as part of a 10-member delegation to announce that Federal Government would provide Health Cards for 35000 beneficiaries of Tharparkar and 2 mobile clinics and 8 ambulances to the fighting with dearth, malnutrition and criminal negligence, inhabitants of Thar.

Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed Minister for National Health Services Aamer Mehmood Kiani to immediately visit Thar in Sindh and provide medical relief to the people facing severe health issues.

The severe dearth in Thar along with the lives of minors, is now usurping the cattle and livestock of the locals, who already, have been suffering from the horrible outcomes of the harsh and ruthless weather conditions of region, water scarcity and food shortage.

In such atrocious and excruciating conditions of living, most of the nomads now are looking to the government to provide them nothing but provisions of food and water. They neither demand for Dam to secure their future water needs nor do they have a demand of ultra-lavish infrastructure; they just want to have enough food so they can live one day more.

It is pertinent to mention that ruling party of Pakistan, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf earlier had showed concern and distress over the plight of Tharis and often austerely criticized Pakistan Peoples Party government for their criminal carelessness and abandoning of most scarce region of Sindh suffering from shortage of food, water, health, education and basic facilities required for living.
