Karachi a hub of trash: Change is far away from metropolitan city
How unlucky city of Karachi is, so dirty, so leaderless. PTI has potential to curtail its miseries.
(Web Desk) – Karachi indeed has become a hub of trash. Even the so-called change that PTI promised could not do anything to have the people out of their miseries especially when it comes to Karachi. This is such a big and crucial city that it cannot be left out. The city which should have been the city of cleanliness has fallen victim to heaps of garbage. Sana Fatma in her report explores the miserable situation of the metropolis of the country. Prime Minister Imran Khan asked the provincial government to get rid of the garbage within two months, but the order has been unheeded by the provincial government.

Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), a division of The Economist Group, has already declared Karachi the least liveable city. It ranked it 134th in a list of 140 cities. There is indeed a dire need to realize the agonies of the city and perform relevant duties.
One of the citizen said officials are just paying lip services, nothing is going to change; instead things are going to get worse. Another said government vehicle hardly visits the area and lifts only some of the garbage. Nothing is going to be happened in two months, another stated.
No matter these are the fields of Gulistan-e-Johar or residential areas, everywhere trash is quite evident. It has become an uphill task to live in Karachi. On the other side, government vehicle to lift the garbage rarely visits to lift the dirt, only once in a week. Their infrequent visit is not enough to make a big city clean.
The stakeholders responsible for the wretched situation are primarily MQM, PPP and now PTI. Though the province, like Punjab, does not belong to PTI, but it has a considerable vote bank which attached high hopes with it. It is the second largest party of Sindh and single largest of Karachi.

Least liveable city
Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), a division of The Economist Group, has already declared Karachi the least liveable city. It ranked it 134th in a list of 140 cities. There is indeed a dire need to realize the agonies of the city and perform relevant duties. In this regard, the government and the masses should act in accordance to law. Garbage should be thrown out of the windows; it should be disposed of properly in dustbins. On the other side, government should also ensure to arrange certain points where citizens could throw the garbage.
