Deteriorating situation of parks in Peshawar explore govt negligence

(Web Desk) – Peshawar which is also known as the city of flowers has indeed fallen victim to indifference of the government. PTI has been claiming to develop every bit of land under its administration, but this does not seem to be true. The report of Zakar ullah explains shoddy situation of the parks and other recreational places. Though the situation improved since PTI formed the government, but not to the extent it was proclaimed.

Millions of rupees have been spent over the maintenance of showers and the rides but their condition does not show the investment of this amount on them. One of the visitors said it has been three years, nothing changed. Various types of rides which were installed are abandoned and need severe government attention. Another went on to say that there is not facility in the park; everything is ruined.
Wazir Bagh which was established in 1810 and has vital historical significance is doomed. During the tenure of Prince Shah Durrani, this park was established. The situation of Jinnah Park is also identical. This park has historical significance as here referendum related to Pakistan and India was held in 1947.

Town administration has been given the responsibility, but it does not seem to be working at all. Prominent provincial leader of PTI Shaukat Ali Yousafzai said as this matter is related to the town administration. If it is not taking any steps against restoring these public places, steps against it can be taken. PTI has been given another tenure which means it has quite ample chances to prove itself. It is high time to complete the already-started projects and maintain the previous ones.
