Summary Britain remained the most visited destination for the PM with 16 visits to the country.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Foreign Ministry on Wednesday released in the Assembly the details of all the visits of Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif to foreign countries during his term up until now.

According to the details, PM Nawaz went on an overall 65 visits to 28 countries during his 2.5 years as the head of state. The expenses of these visits are estimated around Rs. 630.82 million. Britain remained the most visited destination for the PM with 16 visits to the country.

The PM visited both Saudi Arabia and the US 5 times, travelled to China 4 times while paying visits to Turkey 3 times.

Apart from these frequented destinations, the PM also visited India, Afghanistan, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Qatar, Iran, Russia, Germany, France and Sri Lanka along with many other significant nations.

The PM was accompanied by an overall 631 number of officers during these visits.
