ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - A unique incident unfolded in the District and Sessions Courts of Islamabad, where police presented a new challan in a case against PTI founder Imran Khan, despite him having been previously acquitted.
The court, citing the earlier verdict, dismissed the case.
The hearing was conducted by Judicial Magistrate Shehzad Khan, with lawyers Sardar Masroof Khan and Zahid Bashir Dar representing Imran Khan.

During the proceedings, advocate Sardar Masroof Khan noted that it was unprecedented in judicial history for a previously acquitted defendant to face a refiled challan in the same case.
He further stated that the court in the same courthouse had already acquitted Imran Khan. Judge Shehzad Khan directed the lawyers to present the earlier judicial order for review of the records.
After submission of the acquittal order, the court examined the case in detail and filed the newly presented challan into record without proceeding further.
The case against Imran Khan was originally registered at Tarnol Police Station in connection with the Azadi March.
