PM, Saudi Crown Prince discuss bilateral ties

The two leaders reaffirmed common resolve to further strengthen bilateral ties

MAKKAH (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud at Iftar on Sunday and they discussed bilateral ties and matters of mutual interest. 

The prime minister, along with his delegation, was invited to Iftar by His Royal Highness Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif conveyed prayers and best wishes for the health and wellbeing of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman. 

He expressed gratitude for the warm welcome accorded to him and his delegation by the Saudi authorities. 

Both leaders appreciated the upward trajectory of longstanding fraternal relations. 

The two leaders reaffirmed common resolve to further strengthen bilateral ties. After Iftar, a bilateral meeting was also held followed by a one-on-one meeting between the two leaders. 

PRIME MINISTER SHEHBAZ SHARIF PERFORMS UMRAH 

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has performed Umrah during his visit to Saudi Arabia. 

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Information and Broadcasting Minister Attaullah Tarar, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif and others also performed Umrah. 

After performing Umrah, the premier and the delegation offered special prayers for the security, development and prosperity of Pakistan and the Islamic world.

Prime Minister Sharif offered Isha prayer in the Grand Mosque and also participated in the Khatm-e-Quran ceremony. 

On Sunday, he visited Roza-e-Rasool (SAW), offered Isha prayer and Nawafil.
