Jati Umra: PM Nawaz meets yesteryear Indian actress Sharmila Tagore
Tagore had earlier arrived in the Provincial Capital to attend the Lahore Literary Festival (LLF).
RAIWIND (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif on Saturday once again proved that Pakistan is an example to be followed in hospitality as he met with the renowned yesteryear Indian actress and celebrity of Bollywood cinema, Sharmila Tagore, at his residence in Jati Umra near Raiwind Lahore. PM’s daughter and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Maryam Nawaz was also present during the meeting.
Tagore had earlier arrived in the Provincial Capital to attend the Lahore Literary Festival (LLF) upon which PM sent an invite to the veteran celebrity. Tagore accepted PM Nawaz’s invitation and following in the footsteps of her country’s head of state Narendra Modi, arrived at the Nawaz residence.
PM Nawaz introduced the Superstar to his family and even held a lavish banquet in her honor.
Tagore was a leading name in the Indian cinema with classic movie hits like ‘Mausam’ and ‘Aradhana’ to her name. She has won numerous prestigious awards for her splendid performances throughout her acting career.
