(APP) – Minister of State for Information, Broadcasting, National History and Literary Heritage Marriyum Aurangzeb on Sunday expressed grief and sorrow over the demise of renowned Bollywood film actress Sridevi.
In a statement the Minister said that Sridevi was a versatile actress who proved her mettle in showbusiness through stellar performances in several films.
She said that her fans all over the world were mourning her sudden death. She expressed heartfelt condolences with the family members of the deceased actress.
Dubai police have also released forensic report asserting that Sridevi didn’t die of cardiac arrest but of accidental drowning in a bathtub under the influence of alcohol, Gulfnews reported on Monday.
Sridevi passed away at the age of 55 in Dubai last week when she was there with her family to attend a wedding.
Extensive media coverage of Bollywood legend’s death reported that she passed away of cardiac arrest but the forensic report indicates otherwise. The report has been handed over to her family and the Indian Consulate in Dubai.
