Zabihullah Mujahid said that the problem of Panjshir will be solved through talks

KABUL (Dunya News) – Afghan Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid on Tuesday said that Afghanistan s new government will not be in the style of Western democracy.

Addressing a press conference in Kabul on Tuesday, he said that the problem of Panjshir will be solved through talks, the turn of war will not come

The spokesperson said, “We will not allow anyone to use our land against Pakistan or any other country, adding that good relations will be established with every country, including India. “We want the United Nations to help us unconditionally.”

To a question regarding former president General (r) Pervez Musharraf, he said, "What we will do with General Musharraf is not our subject." At the moment we are talking about our country.

To another question regarding Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Zabihullah Mujahid said that neither he had knowledge of formation of any commission nor there was no need for the establishment of any commission.

He also asked the US to leave Afghanistan by August 31. “We will not extend the deadline for the presence of US troops in Afghanistan. They are capable of evacuating their citizens and troops by August 31,” Mujahid said.

The Taliban spokesman said the United States should stop evacuating skilled Afghans, adding that the Americans were taking "Afghan experts" such as engineers out of Afghanistan. "We ask them to stop this process," the spokesman said.

Zabihullah Mujahid said the crowds of Afghans thronging Kabul airport seeking a flight out of the country could go home. "We guarantee their security," he said and added there was no list of people targeted for reprisals. "We have forgotten everything in the past," he said.

He went on to say that if India has a problem, it would like the problem to be resolved diplomatically. He has seen negative Indian propaganda and not against anyone.

Mujahid also said female Afghan government workers should stay home until security conditions in the country improve.

"It s currently for their benefit to prevent any ill-treatment," the Taliban spokesman confirmed, implying that women will not be barred from working indefinitely. He claims that ladies have not been fired and that their salaries will be paid, so they should stay at home for the time being.
