China complains Starlink satellites are taking too much room in space

(Web Desk) - China has appealed against Starlink satellites operated by SPACEX in the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA), submitting a document that claims the Starlink satellites are taking too much room in space as per a news report published by a foreign news channel.
According to the document submitted by the Chinese authorities, there had been incidents when the China Space Station avoided collisions with the Starlink satellites. Reportedly, there were two such incidents, one on 1 July and the other on 21 October.
This has raised serious concerns in the space community, as a debate started over the hogging of space by satellites. In this matter Scientists have already been warning world authorities on the growing number of satellites in space and the risk of collisions.
On the other hand, Elon Musk has completely rejected the claims stating that, the space is too vast and enormous for the tiny satellites. Mr. Musk pushed back that his Starlink Internet Services project has restricted competitors to initiate new projects in the satellite Industry. He even compared the satellites in space with cars moving around on earth, presenting the idea that it does not make any difference.
Meanwhile, according to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Joe Biden’s government has planned to extend international space station (ISS) operations through 2030. ISS operations serve as a platform that promotes research, technological developments for the betterment of humans and maintain peaceful international scientific collaboration. NASA Administrator Bill Nelson appreciated the government’s initiative.
