LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Mian Mehmoodur Rashid has been shifted to hospital with medical complications.

According to sources, Mian Mehmoodur Rashid was shifted to Jinnah Hospital, where various medical tests are being conducted.

Hospital sources said the PTI leader has been diagnosed with a chest infection, while further evaluation will be carried out after the medical reports are received.

Earlier, PTI leader Omar Sarfraz Cheema was also admitted to the hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment.

It is noteworthy that both Mian Mehmoodur Rashid and Sarfraz Cheema are serving sentences handed down by an anti-terrorism court in connection with the May 9 cases.

Meanwhile, PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi has also been shifted to the Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute (PKLI) in Lahore due to health complications.

According to medical sources, he has been diagnosed with gallstones, and doctors are preparing for a possible gallbladder surgery in the coming days.

Hospital officials confirmed that Qureshi has been under treatment at PKLI since Tuesday. He is being monitored by a team of specialists, and his condition has been described as stable and satisfactory.

Medical teams continue to assess Qureshi’s recovery and are expected to decide on the timing of his surgery soon.
