ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Islamabad High Court on Thursday dismissed contempt of court petitions filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Shibli Faraz and Kanwal Shauzab over the authorities’ failure to remove their names from the travel restrictions list.

Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri presided over the hearing. During the proceedings, the court noted that neither the petitioners nor their legal representatives appeared despite the case being called twice.

As a result, the court dismissed the petitions due to non-prosecution.

Previously, both PTI leaders had filed contempt applications, asserting that the authorities failed to comply with a court order directing the removal of their names from the no-fly list.
