Water levels in Nullah Basantar and Nullah Bein, tributaries of the River Ravi, have receded
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The flood situation in Punjab’s rivers remains critical, with extremely high-level flooding reported at Head Sidhnai and Ganda Singh Wala, according to provincial authorities.
The Flood Forecasting Division reported that River Chenab is experiencing extremely high-level flooding at Head Khanki, Head Qadirabad, and Chiniot Bridge.
High-level flooding has also been recorded at Head Marala, Ravi Siphon, Shahdara, Balloki, and Head Sulemanki, while Trimmu, Jassar, Islam, and Mailsi Siphon are facing medium-level floods.
Guddu, Sukkur, Kotri, and Panjnad are currently experiencing low-level flooding. Meanwhile, in tributaries linked to River Chenab, Nullah Aik is facing very high-level flooding, and Nullah Palku is at a high flood level.

It is noteworthy that PDMA Punjab Director General Irfan Ali Kathia stated that three flood warnings were received within the past 24 hours. He warned that in the next 72 hours, there is a risk of India’s three major dams reaching capacity, which could raise water levels in River Ravi further.
Meanwhile, the Indian High Commission has informed the Indus Water Commission about the release of additional water into the Sutlej River. High-level flooding has been reported at Harike and Ferozepur.
