PTI huddle reviews assemblies' dissolution issue

 LAHORE (Dunya News) – Amid the ongoing political imbroglio in the country, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership on Thursday discussed the party’s “final” plan to dissolve the Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assemblies in a bid to force the incumbent government for announcing snap elections.

Deposed premier Imran Khan presided over the party’s top brass meeting at his Zaman Park residence in Lahore to discuss the country’s political situation and assemblies’ dissolution issue.

The PTI leader Shahzad Waseem in a post-meeting media talk said that Imran Khan was briefed on the proceedings of the Senate while his opinion was also sought regarding the upcoming Upper House sessions.

He added that the strategy to counter PTI legislators’ resignations issue also took center stage during the meeting.

While the PTI leader Shibli Faraz lashed out at the ruling Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) sayingthat fear of Imran’s popularity forced them to escape from early elections.
