Shehbaz Sharif condemns Javed Latif's arrest
Shehbaz Sharif called Javed Latif as sincere and honest member of PML-N.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president and Opposition Leader in National Assembly (NA) Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday has strongly condemned the arrest of his party member Javed Latif.
In a statement, Shehbaz Sharif called Javed Latif as sincere and honest member of PML-N. The detentions of political leaders have exposed the worst situation of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government, he added.
Shehbaz Sharif further expressed hope that the judiciary will provide justice to Javed Latif.
The reaction came as police personnel arrested Javed Latif after sessions court canceled his bail plea in a case registered against him on charges of inciting people against state institutions.
The security officers apprehended the PML-N leader, who had left the court without hearing the decision, near Saggian Bridge.
