Property dealers sit-in protest ends after police crackdown
Police arrested over 50 members of All Pakistan Property Dealers Association.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Property dealers sit-in protest at the Mall Road Lahore ended when police launched a crackdown against them on late Thursday night, Dunya News reported.
A heavy contingent of police launched a crackdown to end the sit-in protest after negotiated between All Pakistan Property Dealers Association and police failed to reach a settlement.
Representatives of All Pakistan Property Dealers Association were staging a protest at Charing Cross on the Mall Road against the increase in tax on property transactions by the government.
Police also arrested more than 50 members of All Pakistan Property Dealers Association during the crackdown and registered cases against them.
