Ruet-e-Hilal Committee to meet today for Eid-ul-Fitr moon sighting
Eid-ul-Fitr in Saudi Arabia and Middle East and many other countries would be observed on Wednesday.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet today (Tuesday) in Lahore for sighting of Eid-ul-Fitr moon. Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman will preside over the meeting.
The meetings of zonal and district Ruet-e-Hilal committees will also be held today at their respective headquarters for collecting evidences in respect of sighting or other wise of the Shawwal moon.
Meanwhile, Met department has said that the moon would be visible in most parts of the country despite partially cloudy weather.
On the other hand, Eid-ul-Fitr in Saudi Arabia and Middle East and many other countries would be observed on Wednesday.
Weather specialists said that the moon would also likely to be witnessed in Punjab areas including Lahore which is an indication that Saudi Arabia and Pakistan would celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr on the same day.
