ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) is being celebrated with religious zeal and fervor across the country today (Monday).

The day dawned with thirty-one gun salute in the federal capital and twenty-one gun salutes in all provincial capitals to pay homage to the last Prophet [SAW]. Special prayers were offered after Namaz-e-Fajar for the unity of Muslim Ummah, progress and prosperity of Pakistan and early liberation of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.



It is a public holiday today. Special conferences, events and "Mahafil-e-Naat" have been arranged to pay respect to the last messenger whose entire life and teachings are beacon of light for humanity.

Special programmes underlining different features of the life of Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) are also being aired.

Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) is also being celebrated in Karachi and other parts of Sindh with religious zeal and fervour.

Like other parts of the country, Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) is being celebrated with traditional religious reverence and enthusiasm in Balochistan tomorrow. All necessary preparations in this regard have been finalized.



Various religious and political organizations have chalked out different programs, during which Ulema and scholars will highlight various aspects of Seerat-un-Nabi (SAW). In Peshawar, the main procession in connection with Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) will be taken out from Milad Chowk this evening.

The procession after passing through its traditional route will terminate at Qissa Khwani bazaar, Peshawar.

Similarly, Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) is also being celebrated in Gilgit-Baltistan with religious zeal and enthusiasm.



Mahafil-e-Milad is being held in Gilgit and other districts to pay homage to the holy prophet (PBUH).

Similarly Eid Milad-UN- Nabi (SAW) is being celebrated throughout Azad Jammu and Kashmir with religious sanctity and fervour.

A cake weighing nineteen pounds was prepared in Chiniot using dried fruits and Desi Ghee that was praised by residents nearby.
