Cotton price reaches highest level in 18 months
Forecasts of increased rains in China, India and US will also be one of the reasons of price hike
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Cotton price on Wednesday has reached to the highest level in 18 months with Rs 6300 per 40 kg, reported Dunya News.
According to Cotton Jeans Forum Chairman Ehsan ul Haq, cotton price has increased to Rs 100 per 40 kg and has increased to the highest price of Rs 6300 per 40 kg in the past 18 months.
The chairman also said that price hike in cotton price had been caused due to export orders to India and several other countries.
On the other hand, there had been forecasts of increased rains in China, India and United States (US) will also be one of the reasons of increase in cotton price.
