Commenting on Pakistan’s security situation, he said that ongoing operation Zarb-e-Azb in the North Waziristan tribal region is yielding positive results due to which overall terror-related incidents have reduced in Pakistan.

The Prime Minister said the terrorists are now carrying out isolated acts to make their presence felt. However, these will also be eliminated under an effective strategy.

He stressed the need for expediting implementation of some clauses of the National Action Plan (NAP) against terrorism.

"Terrorists will be completely eliminated," vowed the Prime Minister.

To a question, he said that matters between Pakistan and India were moving in the right direction. He regretted the Pathankot incident disturbed the dialogue process between the two countries.

"Pakistan will not allow terrorists to use its soil against any other country," he added.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister also announced Rs 5 per liter reduction in petrol and diesel prices for the next month.

“It is my pleasure to announce that petrol and diesel prices have been further reduced by Rs5 per litre,” the PM said while talking to Dunya News. “Inflation rate has also fallen below two per cent,” he added.

He said Pakistan’s economic performance has also been acknowledged by the world institutions and power outages have been reduced significantly.

He said the benefits of economic policies have started reaching the people.
