PM Nawaz meets COAS Kayani at GHQ
It is Prime Minister's first visit to the GHQ since he assumed charge of his office.
(Web Desk) - Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and military leadership are reviewing security situation at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi today.
The Prime Minister is also being briefed on the engagements of the army on Western and Eastern borders of the country.
Army Chief General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani and Principal Staff Officers are attending the briefing. Whereas, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar are accompanying the Prime Minister.
Earlier‚ Army Chief General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani received the Prime Minister on his arrival at the GHQ.
On the occasion, the Prime Minister was given guard of honour by the smartly turned contingent of Pakistan Army.
Later‚ he laid a floral wreath at the monumnent of martyrs and offered fateha.
