Rangers to be deployed for Punjab by-polls
By-elections will take place in nine constituencies of Punjab and Sindh provinces.
LAHORE: According to election commission source, Rangers will be on duty for the by–elections being held on Tuesday in the Punjab province.
The provincial election commission has requested to call the Rangers for holding free and fair elections, EC secretary told Dunya News.
Polling results from presiding officer to returning officer will be handed over under the supervision of Rangers personnel.
The by-elections will take place in NA-107 constituency of Gujrat, Jehlums’s PP-25, Sahiwal’s NA-162, Gujranwala’s PP-92, Sialkot’s pp-122 and pp-129, Narowal’s PP-129 and PP-226 constituency of Sahiwal.
Also, by-elections will be held in PS-21 constituency of Sindh on December 4.
