Punjab by-polls were massively rigged: Elahi
Pervez Elahi says ECP must take action against Punjab govt for rigging in the by-polls.
FAISALABAD: Addressing a public gathering here on Sunday, Deputy Prime Minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi said that the Punjab government rigged the by-polls on a big scale, and it would be a matter of concern if the Election Commission would not take action in this connection.
Comparing his tenure as CM with the present government, Pervez Elahi said that the Punjab government had crushed the masses whereas during PML-Q tenure the people of Punjab were enjoying many facilities.
He said the Punjab government had diverted the funds of southern Punjab to Lahore Rapid Transit Bus project, ‘Jangla scheme’.
“Nawaz Sharif enjoyed power many times and he should explain how many times he would make new Pakistan,” he said.
