Netizens grill Parineeti for copy-pasting Alia’s wedding theme

MUMBAI (Web Desk) - Bollywood queen Parineeti Chopra just got married with Indian politician Raghav Chadha at a graceful ceremony in Udaipur.

However, Parineeti came under the radar of social media users for ‘copy-pasting’ the wedding dress of Alia Bhatt.

The netizens were quick to notice that the Ishaqzaade star's wedding outfit is similar to Alia Bhatt's when she tied the knot with Ranbir Kapoor.

“At first glance, I thought Parineeti posted Alia and Ranbir's wedding photos by mistake,” a social media user said, while sharing pictures of both Parineeti and Alia on X, formerly Twitter.

Interestingly, another user captioned the pictures of both the Bollywood stars as “Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V”. The post said that Parineeti exactly copied the wedding theme of Alia.

Parineeti donned a cream-white dress for her big day which was designed by A-list fashion designer Manish Malhotra.

Taking to X, social media users started posting wedding pictures of the two, and dragged Parineeti for copying the Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani actor's style.

Some even said that the newly-wed couple copied Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor's poses too.

“I don’t know why I think Parineeti and Raghav are recreating Ranbir-Alia’s marriage,” a netizen shared.

Some even called Parineeti out for wearing the same garlands as Alia.

It didn’t stop here as a few netizens think Parineeti copied Alia's dress and went for wedding jewellery similar to Kiara Advani's, who got married to co-star Sidharth Malhotra early this year.

“Parineeti borrowed Kiara's jewelry and Alia's wedding lehenga. Bollywood designers have officially run out of new ideas or themes for weddings. Pastel may soon go out of fashion,” wrote a user on X.

Many social media users grilled Parineeti for wearing pastel-themed outfit on her big day and for her minimal wedding ceremony, while urging the celebrities to stick to classic red joras.

One user slammed Bollywood weddings for turning into Christian ones. "Christian Katrina wore red but Hindu women like Alia and Parineeti are wearing white," she added.

“These photos are so similar that for a while it looked photoshopped. I like Parineeti but was expecting a different wedding look than this,” wrote another user on X.

In the words of another social media user, ever since the pastel trend started, all the Bollywood actors end up looking the same.
