'Verna' continues to rule box office with huge business

The film hit cinemas across the world on November 17.

KARACHI (Daily Dunya) – Pakistani movie ‘Verna’ has continued to amuse the people as it has earned more than Rs 20 million so far.

The movie has also left behind Bollywood films as Ittefaq did business of Rs 2.50 crore in three weeks, Vidya Balan-starrer Tumhari Sulu earned Rs 26.30 lac and Ifran Khan’s Qarib Qarib Single also received appreciation with a business of Rs80 lac so far.

Punjab censor board earlier restricted screening of Mahira Khan’s ‘Verna’ due to highlighting controversial issue.

Director Shoaib Mansoor’s film Verna revolves around the story of a married couple who parted their ways due to some unusual situation. Lead roles in the movie have been performed by Mahira Khan and Haroon Shahid.
