Punjab censor board restricts screening of Mahira Khan's Verna
The first show of the movie that was scheduled at 2:00pm has been cancelled at all the cinemas.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – As per latest updates, the full bench of censor board has restricted display of Pakistani film ‘Verna’ in cinemas across the Punjab due to highlighting controversial issue.

Reacting to the decision of the board, glamorous actress Mahira Khan took to social networking site and posted that why films are posing threats to the people in power. We will win, she continued.

Director Shoaib Mansoor’s film Verna revolves around the story of a married couple who parted their ways due to some unusual situation. Lead roles in the movie have been performed by Mahira Khan and Haroon Shahid.
Not only Verna but some other films including Na Maloom Afraad 2, Maalik and Inteha which were based on sensitive issues also faced strict action by the censor board.
Meanwhile, the movie has hit international screens today.
