FIA arrests Hesco SDO on corruption charges

HYDERABAD (Dunya News) – The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) claims to have arrested an SDO of the Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (Hesco) on corruption charges.
The arrested SDO was allegedly involved in corruption of millions along with facilitating power theft under his supervision. Reportedly, two villages Dhari Mian and Nahio Chani were utilising electricity without meters due to the involvement of Hesco officials.
SDO Zohaib Sherani is accused of inflicting loss of millions to the national exchequer. The SDO, along with line superintendent Asif Naqvi, has been booked.
