LAHORE (Dunya News) – A man avenged his son's killing by shooting the murder suspect at Mayo Hospital on late Sunday.
Suspect Boota reached the hospital and opened fire at his relative Sajid Ilyas who was under treatment. The hospital truned into battlefield as firing triggered panic among the hospital staff, patients and their attendants.
Police said Sajid had allegedly killed Boota's son Faqeer Hussain and injured his brother Rashid after exchanging words during a marriage ceremony a couple of days ago.
The police arrested Boota and seized the weapon later. The CCPO took notice of the incident and ordered the city SP to conduct an inquiry into the incident.
Caretaker Punjab chief minister Mohsin Naqvi also took notice of the incident and sought a detailed report from the city police chief.
