LAHORE (Web Desk) - Pakistan skipper Babar Azam on Wednesday gave his Player of the Match Award to all-rounder Khushdil Shah for clinching the match for Pakistan through his power hitting while chasing the target set by West Indies in first One-day International in Multan.

Ranked number one batter in both limited over formats, Azam cracked a brilliant 107-ball 103 with nine boundaries.

While Khushdil Shah lived up to his big hitting and carted four sixes in his 23-ball 41 not out to help Pakistan overhaul a tough 306-run target in 49.2 overs.

He hit three consecutive sixes in Romario Shepherd’s 47th over before Mohammad Nawaz hit the winnings six in the final over.

Azam generously handed his award to Khushdil. "I want to give the award to him for his outstanding knock," said Azam. "We planned the chase and showed intent which worked in our favour."
