Joint sitting of parliament in Islamabad today

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The joint sitting of the parliament will be held at the Parliament House in Islamabad today at four in the afternoon.

According to the issued agenda, the Election Act 2017 amendment bill along NAB ordinance 1999 amendment will be presented in the joint sitting.

It is pertinent to mention that the Election Amendment bill and NAB ordinance 1999 amendment has been passed by the National Assembly and the Senate but The President Arif Alvi had sent it back to the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for reconsideration. The approval of the Election Amendment Bill will be sought from the joint sitting.

On the other hand, the bill for the establishment of National Information Technology Board, the Parental Protection Bill will be tabled in the joint sitting, will also be tabled in the joint sitting of Parliament.
