LONDON (Dunya News) – Pakistani Test legend Younis Khan expressed a wish to spend the rest of his life like renowned philanthropist Abdul Sattar Edhi.

He said he wants to serve the humanity like Edhi. The recently retired batsman opined that he was proud to become Pakistan’s first Test batsman to cross 10,000-run mark.

Younis Khan praised the sporting talent in the country. He said Pakistan produced talented cricketers in past like late legend Hanif Mohammad.

Pakistan High Commissioner in United Kingdom had organised a tribute for the 39-year-old player at Lord s Cricket Ground in which notable cricketers and members of the Pakistani community took part.

While talking about PSL 2017 spot-fixing scandal, he said such players who defame the country should be ignored, adding that committing errors was part of human nature.

Former skipper Rashid Latif, Test cricketer Azhar Ali and HC to the UK Syed Ibn-e-Abbas praised Younis Khan’s services for the game.

“I have played enough cricket. Now I want to spend the rest of my life serving humanity like Abdul Sattar Edhi,” he responded while talking to media persons.

Younis Khan and Misbah-ul-Haq played their farewell match against West Indies in which Pakistan secured a Test series win against the hosts for the first time.
