Khalid Latif met suspected bookie more than once: PCB
PCB's legal adviser rubbished the claim made by Khalid Latif's lawyer
LAHORE (Dunya News) – As the hearing of PSL spot fixing case continues, the counsels of Khalid Latif and PCB seems to be in strong disagreement while both exchanged heated words during the proceedings.
PCB s legal advisor Tafazzul Rizvi revealed that Khalid Latif met the bookie twice however he didn’t report it to the PCB.
PCB s counsel while rubbishing the claim of Khalid Latif’s lawyer revealed that Latif didn’t disclose anything till he was questioned by PCB.
It is worth mentioning here that Khalid Latif’s lawyer revealed during his media talk that Khalid Latif was investigated on the same date when he was contacted by the bookie.
Tafazzul Rizvi revealed that contrary to the claims put forward by Khalid Latif’s lawyers PCB has ample evidence against Latif.
"Not only we found grips given by the bookie Yousuf in Latif s kitbag but also they were on his bats – which he had admitted," revealed Rizvi.
While responding to the accusation levelled by Khalid Latif s lawyer, PCB’s legal adviser expressed, “In reply to the Alam s remark to boycott the tribunal, I said that this is an attempt to blackmail the tribunal. I think he wrongly thought that I called him a blackmailer.”
Earlier, Badar Alam, the lawyer of Khalid Latif in PSL spot-fixing case, also accused that they were portrayed as blackmailers during the hearing.
