Fans pay tribute to Misbah, Younis with portraits on Karachi wall
Misbah had announced to retire after WI tour on April 4
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Cricket fans have painted a wall of Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) Coaching Centre as a tribute to retired national cricketers Younis Khan and Misbahul Haq on Tuesday.
Khan and the former Test skipper Misbah had announced their retirement ahead of West Indies tour that completed this month with Pakistan securing first ever Test victory over West Indies.
Khan’s pose that is celebratory of his century has been put up next to skipper’s portrait. Alongside the paintings, fans continue to state their love on the wall.
The two batsmen retired after winning the Test series against West Indies 2 to 1.
Misbah had announced his retirement on April 4 and said after a successful West Indies tour that he would like to engage in social work post the retirement.
