PSL management ensures foolproof security to overseas players for Lahore final

The final of second edition of PSL is scheduled to be played on March 5 at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.

DUBAI (Dunya News) – Pakistan Super League (PSL) management has ensured foolproof security to overseas players who are going to play the final match in Lahore.

According to details, PSL Chairman Najam Sethi met all foreign players and briefed them about the security plan. He also informed them about the satisfaction shown by International Cricket Council (ICC) and Federation of International Cricketers  Association (FICA) over security measures.

PSL ambassador Ramiz Raja said perceptions about the beautiful city of Lahore might be muddled, but the players who would arrive in Lahore to play the final are going to make a priceless contribution to the cricket of Pakistan.

Raja seemed hopeful for return of international cricket to Pakistan and said it will be a great news for the cricket fans who are very passionate about the game, and always give warm welcome to their guests.

Wasim Akram, who was born in Lahore, also encouraged the overseas players to play the final in Lahore, and said their effort will be remembered for years.

Akram added that he was greatly inspired when he used to see his idols like Michael Holding and Sunil Gavaskar in flesh playing in the grounds of Pakistan.

He also ensured the players that government will provide them with foolproof security.

It is worth mentioning here that Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has bought four bulletproof buses, and is also thinking about the idea to transport players to stadium by air, and fly them out immediately after the match.

PSL organizers have also made arrangements to organize alternate drafting in last week of February if some players refuse to play the final in Lahore.

All five franchises will add new players in their teams who are willing to play in Pakistan. For this purpose, local talent will also be considered.
