Pak rebuff Indian protest on Bunji Dam, Gilgit-Baltistan

Pakistan has disapproved Indian objection on Gilgit-Baltistans internal sovereignty and construction of Bunji Dam in Azad Kashmir. The Indian deputy high commissioner in Islamabad was called in the foreign office on Friday and it was made clear to him that Indian stand on the issue was not right. Director General for South Asia in the foreign office said that Islamabad also refused the statement of India which claimed that Jammu and Kashmir was integral part of it. He maintained that Pakistans stand was based on the United Nations resolutions on Kashmir issue. Earlier, Indian foreign ministry handed over two letters of protest to the Pakistani High Commission in India over the internal sovereignty of Northern Areas and building of Bunji Dam.
