Imran Khan requests funds for dam: overwhelming response of overseas Pakistanis

(Web Desk) – Prime Minister Imran Khan appealed to the overseas Pakistanis to contribute to the fund created by Chief Justice of Pakistan. "I want to take over the fund-raising and want overseas Pakistanis to contribute like they used to do for the Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital,” PM said.

International community seems quite eager to participate in the fund as they are fully conscious of the significance of dams. The goal is also achievable as uttered by Imran Khan. "If every overseas Pakistani donates $1,000, we will have enough to build the dams ourselves," he said in his address to the nation.

Saqlain Mushtaq, well acclaimed cricket star, was attending the event in New York and pledged to contribute in the fund. He said everyone is quite inspired and is donating more and more. Some are contributing $1000, others $5000 and some even $10,000 which is quite heartening and this is how the ultimate objective will be gained.
