Summary PTI leader says party 'surprised' at Nawaz's take on NAB, Kaira says statement confirmed PPP stance
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Naeem ul Haq has said on Tuesday that Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif is scared of probable investigation from National Accountability Bureau (NAB) directed towards his party, reported Dunya News.
According to the details, Haq was of the view that the accountability body was influenced by the PM himself as the NAB chairman in the past has been appointed at Sharif’s will.
On the other hand, (Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Qamar Zaman Kaira said that the PM’s statement endorsed his party’s stance regarding the vigorous investigation that was being carried out by NAB, the impact of which is there to be felt in Sindh.
The PM on Tuesday stated that NAB officials have been ‘harassing’ government employees by storming into their houses and workplaces without substantial evidence and were accusing them of being involved in corruption.
