ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held an important meeting with Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto at Zardari House ahead of the federal budget.

According to PPP sources, the party has expressed reservations regarding development projects in Sindh.

Senior PPP leaders, including Naveed Qamar, Sherry Rehman and Sindh Minister Jam Khan Shoro, were also present during the meeting.

Sources said the discussion focused on development schemes for Sindh included in the upcoming federal budget.

During the meeting, Bilawal Bhutto presented his concerns and reservations directly to the deputy prime minister.

Meanwhile, Sindh Minister Jam Khan Shoro briefed Ishaq Dar on the province's development priorities.

Following the briefing, Dar assured the PPP leadership that Bilawal Bhutto's concerns would be addressed.

Earlier in the day, a meeting between the government and PPP failed to resolve ongoing disagreements over the upcoming federal budget, with both sides remaining locked in negotiations.

Sources said that efforts remained continued from both sides to break the deadlock, as discussions remained underway regarding key financial and development-related concerns.

According to party sources, the PPP has raised objections over additional taxation measures involving provinces, subsidy allocations, and the distribution of development funds.

Concerns have also been expressed over funding shortages for major infrastructure projects, including the K-IV water project and the Sukkur-Karachi Motorway.
