A US intelligence report claims that at least 16 suspected militants have been killed including prominent Al-Qaeda leader Abu Ahmad. The drone targeted a house in Sokhel village, about 25 km (16 miles) east of Miranshah, the main town of the region and known as a hotbed of Taliban and al Qaeda militants. Three people have also been injured.Abu Ahmad was involved in multiple attacks on American forces fighting Taliban insurgents in Afghanistan. US drones aircrafts have so far carried out 216 strikes in Pakistani territory.
