Blair should be accountable of wars based on deliberate misrepresentation or fraudulent: Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Friday said that 70,000 Pakistanis lost their lives in the war against terror and those who dragged Pakistan into America’s war should be accountable, reported Dunya News.

Responding to Chilcot Inquiry on a social website, Imran Khan said that Ex-British Prime Minister (PM) Tony Blair was not ashamed of attacking Iraq over false flag attack; rather he was embarrassed by losing 179 British soldiers in the war, presenting himself as innocent ignoring genocide of thousands of Iraqis, Imran said.

At this point, Pakistan also needed Chilcot sort of investigation and despite not being involved in 9/11, why Pakistan had decided to plunge into America’s war, he questioned.

At that time Al-Qaeda was operational only in Afghanistan and no Taliban were having any safe havens in Pakistan, PTI Chairman added. He also said that Tribal areas of Pakistan were exploited and destroyed in the name of the war on terror.

Imran Khan strongly criticised Tony Blair and said that how he could be acquitted of thousands of deaths of Iraqi civilians. Blair, in any case, cannot be omitted of causing sectarianism, extremism, civil war and the emergence of IS in the Middle East, PTI Chairman added.

He should be accountable of wars based on deliberate misrepresentation or fraudulent. Imran added.
