LAHORE (WebDesk) – Pakistan’s beloved on-screen couple and glittering celebrities Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan are to be kept away from Mumbai due to threats hurled at the star duo by Hindu extremist group Shiv Sena. The decision was made by acclaimed Bollywood directors Karan Johar and Farhan Akhtar.

According to sources, renowned Bollywood Director and Producer Karan Johar had earlier casted Fawad Khan for his upcoming movie “Kapoor and Sons”. The shooting of the movie has been completed. Johar is no stranger to threats and did not deal the intimidation of Shiv Sena on Mahira and Fawad as a light affair. Johar himself was threatened in the past by the extremist group for calling Mumbai by it former name of “Bombay”. It seems that Johar will avoid further antagonizing the extremist party by keeping the star celebrities in the country.

Meanwhile, Mahira has already filmed various scenes with Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan for the film “Raees”. To avoid any further ugly incidents, Producer Farhan Akhter and Ritesh Sadwani have opted for filming the remaining scenes of the movie in Dubai.
