US President Trump claimed that Pakistan, China, and Russia are secretly carrying out nuclear tests and announced that he has instructed Pentagon to resume nuclear testing
WASHINGTON (Web Desk) - US President Donald Trump has claimed that Pakistan, China, and Russia are secretly carrying out nuclear weapons tests.
In an interview with an American TV, Trump said he had directed the Pentagon to immediately resume US nuclear testing.
According to him, countries such as North Korea, Pakistan, and others are conducting nuclear tests but do not announce them publicly.
Trump asserted that United States possesses a nuclear arsenal powerful enough to destroy the world 150 times, yet he believes testing is necessary to understand how these weapons function.
Trump declines to rule out underground nuclear tests
He further alleged that Russia and China are conducting nuclear tests “quietly,” adding, “We are the only country that doesn’t. I don’t want us to be the only one not testing.”
Trump emphasised that the US operates more transparently than other nations, saying, “We are an open society; we do everything before the public. If other countries are testing, then we must do it too.”
However, Pakistan’s Foreign Office has not yet responded to Trump’s allegations.
Experts say that Trump’s remarks raise serious questions about America’s nuclear non-proliferation policy, warning that a resumption of nuclear testing by Washington could undermine international treaties and threaten global peace efforts.
