LONDON (Reuters) - British transport minister Heidi Alexander said there were no injuries reported after a train bound for London from Glasgow derailed in northern England on Monday.

North West Ambulance Service later said on Monday morning that it had stood down from "major incident status" and was withdrawing resources it had dispatched to the scene.
