All great personalities, he said, had spoken of non-violence and eliminating fear
INDIA (Dunya News) - Indian Congress member Rahul Gandhi, who is the Opposition Leader in Lok Sabha, quoted the Holy Quran and recited Darood Sharif upon Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) during an assembly session.
"It is written in the [Holy] Quran the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) said, 'God said have no fear [for] I am with you, hearing and seeing'," he said at Lok Sabha.
The remarks came as he hit out at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for spreading hatred, fear and violence.
The BJP leaders, he said, spread hatred despite their claims of being Hindu. “That’s not what the religion is about,” he added.
All great personalities, he said, had spoken of non-violence and eliminating fear and hatred.
Meanwhile, Indian PM Narendra Modi demanded an apology from the opposition leader. He said calling the entire Hindu society "violent" was a serious issue.
