Insults to the Prophet (PBUH) are a violation of religious freedom: Putin
(Web Desk) – Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that disrespecting Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) doesn’t count as the expression of artistic freedom, TASS reported.
During his annual news conference, the president said, “Insults to the Prophet (PBUH) are a violation of religious freedom and the violation of the sacred feelings of people who profess Islam.”
Putin, while praising artistic freedom in general, said it has its limits and it should not infringe on other freedoms.
